Epic Call Reversal: Last night I was traveling across Route 50 on my way home from spending the day at a clients office. My cell began ringing, and a Virginia number showed up on the caller ID. I didnt recognize it, but 50 is about a boring drive as you can get so I answered. It was a representative from the NRA... they happen to be running a special to upgrade Life Memberships to Endowment Memberships for 75% off to drum up resources for the coming November election (Valid offer until August 15th, FYI). I politely declined, and said that while I strongly support the NRA, and particularly the NRA-ILA, aside from donations to the ILA Im focusing on the WVCDL. The representative asked what it was, and I gave her the short sales pitch... She said she had never heard of us, and was originally from Parkersburg. I said, Oh, well then you know exactly where I am as Im passing through Ellenboro on my way home to Parkersburg. At that point she told me the NRA call center was in Clarksburg, where she was located... Who knew? 5 minutes later, we got off the phone after I gave her the web address, Facebook group and told her about the meeting/meal @ the 79er this weekend... Shes going to share the information, maybe some of the folks there might show up? That would be epic! In summary, never pass on the opportunity to spread the word... I got a call trying to sell the NRA and instead sold them on the WVCDL. You never know until you try!
