Epic Touch free lunch honors national guests: rodeo queens, bullfighters, barrel men GUYMON, Okla. – A free hot dog feed sponsored by Epic Touch on Thursday, May 1, at 11:30 a.m. at Guymon’s Epic Touch retail store in the Northridge Shopping Center will honor more than 15 national rodeo queens and Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) bullfighters and barrel men; all in town for Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo and celebration. The famous free Epic hot dogs will be served while they last and everyone is encouraged to come on out to welcome Guymon’s visitors and get their autographs. The 2014 Miss Guymon Pioneer Days contestants and the reigning 2013 Miss Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo Queen Taige LaForest will be helping welcome visiting queens from Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming along with PRCA barrel man John Harrison and Bullfighter Chris Kirby. Harrison of Soper, Okla., is the 2013 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo Barrel Man and 2012 PRCA’s Comedy Act of the Year. Kirby from Kaufman, Texas, has been putting his life on the line as a bullfighter in the sport of rodeo for more than a decade. “We at Epic Touch are pleased to host this annual event for our visitors and their fans,” said Linda Ward, marketing and advertising director for Epic Touch Co. “We are also pleased to think that we may have played a small part in helping our Miss Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo Queen title holders go on to win four state titles.” The Miss Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo Queen Scholarship Pageant is May 1-4. Contestants compete in five categories: speech, modeling, personal interview, impromptu question and horsemanship. “We also appreciation the dedication and hard work the visiting state title holders put in while in Guymon,” Ward said. Visiting 2014 title holders who will be attending the lunch on Thursday are Miss Rodeo Oklahoma Lauren Heaton, Miss Rodeo Oklahoma Teen Elise Wade, Miss Rodeo Oklahoma Princess Emily Smith, Miss Rodeo Arkansas Stephanie Kaeppel, Miss Rodeo Missouri Maggie Everson, Miss Rodeo Illinois Katie Perry, Miss Rodeo Kansas Katera Harter, Miss Rodeo Nebraska Gina Jespersen, Miss Rodeo New Jersey Amanda Thompson, Miss Rodeo New Mexico Alexandria Tapia, Miss Rodeo North Dakota Codi Miller, Miss Rodeo South Dakota Melynda Sletten and Miss Rodeo Wyoming Desiree Bridges.
