Epilepsy Awareness Day Disneyland November 7, 2013 As a member of CNS and a child neurologist who specializes in Epilepsy and on behalf of Brad and Candy Levy (founders and hosts of EADDL), I would like to invite American Association of Neuroscience Nurses to join with many other non-profit groups in raising awareness for Epilepsy at the first ever medical awareness event at Disneyland. Many non-profits are working together to create a day with iconic images by photographer to the stars Brian Kramer linking Epilepsy Awareness to iconic images of Disneyland. We anticipate over 2000 supporters in purple event shirts to share a visible presence on Nov 7, 2013 at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA. Even more important, this event is being produced to bring together as many of the stakeholders in Epilepsy Awareness as possible – not to fundraise or to benefit one group more an another, but to bring our communities together. The UCLA neurology department is closing on November 7th 2013 so that all of their physicians and staff can join. Other physicians such as neurologists and epileptologist from USC and UC Irvine are also expected to have a large presence.
