Epiphany Art - Today, I watched snippets of a movie made by Shaw Brothers Production (HK) in 1963 entitled Love Parade. It was somewhat of a multi-cultural #60sthrowback, with scenes of Jackie-O infamous bob hairdo, figure accentuating Baju Kebaya dresses and white-faced Japanese girls donned in Kimonos parading on the tv screen. Wow.. the 60s mustve been interesting times for the cinematic industry. The seamless amalgamation of Western, Malay, Chinese, Japanese cultures (just to name a few) from songs, fashion and satiral scenes is truly admirable. Id love to see a revival of such cross-cultural movies in 2015, with A Hundred Foot Journey (produced by Spielberg and Winfrey) hopefully being the catalyst for the coming new year. Ill leave you with a lovely duet by one of Malaysias most beloved legendary couple. Selamat Malam. m.youtube/watch?v=gWchUM3oM90
