Having conquered Brazil, the Portuguese colonialists founded a large feudal tenure. Most of the indigenous Indian tribes were destroyed and those that remained alive, and blacks colonizers used as free labor. Under conditions of tyranny and heavy slave labor immigrants from Angola, Congo and other African countries have tried to not only survive, but also to maintain their beliefs, culture and traditions.
