Episode 261 brief summary.. Ηurrem asks explanations from Mihrimah but in the end she realizes that it was Mihrimah’s plan to catch them together. Mihrimah reminds her of the promise she had given to her, that she would marry her with the one she would love.Gulfem informs Suleyman about Hatice’s denial to marry, but Suleyman tells her that this wedding will be done. Lutfi tells Sah that Husrev pasha became Kubbe pasha and that he is going to attend the meetings of the governing council .They are both happy about it as they think that this would benefit them .When Sah learns that Hatice has driven off her concubines, she runs full of fear to the hamam. Hatice tells her not to be afraid and Sah informs her that the Sultan doesn’t want to send her away ,as he has chosen Husrev pasha, to be an active member of the council .Suleyman says to Hurrem that Hatice won’t leave the palace because her future husband has become Kubbe pasha and he should take part to the council. Hurrem answers that she had believed that Rustem pasha would be the one who would take this position and suggests him to do Hatice’s wedding after his return from the campaign .Suleyman announces to the council Husrev pasha’s promotion and hears full of anger , that Mustafa disobeyed him and executed Iskender instead of Piri pasha. Lutfi and Kapudan pasha consider that there is a reasonable explanation for Mustafa’s disobedience ,which Sultan thinks is a betrayal.This angers the Sultan even more. He points out to Kaputan pasha that rather his presence beside Mustafa has helped him to feel self-confident .Mihrimah is being informed by an aga that Bali bey has spend the night with Elena. Lutfi tells Sah about Mustafa’s disobedience ,and Sah wonders how he did such a mistake as he knows that Hurrem is waiting for a wrong move. Lutfi then says that Rustem was beside him.Mahidevran asks Gabriella to stop being Mustafa’s shadow and adds that if her son wanted her he would already have her .Fidan informs Mahidevran that Mustafa hadn’t followed Suleyman’s orders and Mahidevran is horrified.Mustafa receives a letter from his father ,who is dissatisfied because his orders were ignored, and asks him to come to the capital .Sah begs Suleyman to show mercy and Suleyman replies that all these years he had an veil stretched in front of his eyes ,and he was pretending that he didn’t see anything .The only thing he was asking everyone was to obey him and not question him.Ayas pasha tells Hurrem that the choice of Husrev pasha was Sultan’s personal decision .Hurrem points out that he should wonder why the Sultan didn’t ask his opinion and that if he continues this way he would end up in the ground.He asks him to find a way to remind him of Mustafa’s disobedience ,so that Sultan’s anger, about his son, never decreases.Matrakci and Malkocoglou realize that Rustem ‘’played games’’ with Mustafa in order to trap him.Hatice asks them to support Mustafa ,and Matrakci replies that she shouldn’t be afraid about Mustafa because Hunkar was his teacher .Hatice, out of her mind ,asks them if they have forgotten what happened in this room and how was Ibrahim pasha executed. Esmahan full of disappointment leaves Mehmet’s room as he is pretends to be very busy.Mihrimah who meets her in the corridor ,offends her, saying that she shouldn’t have any hope about gaining her brother.
