Equines Assisting Special Individuals (E.A.S.I.), which is hosting its second annual All Abilities Camp July 15-26, needs sponsorship for four students to be sponsored. Two, are families that will be effected by the mining lay offs and had previously committed before the announcement. The other two are from disadvantaged circumstances. According to EASI Executive Director Melissa Searcy, "Summer Riding camp is a wonderful opportunity for these kids to learn valuable skills that can be applied at school and home, they gain new awareness of their capabilities and confidence and self esteem is greatly increased. We find the benefits of therapeutic riding after this week long camp have changed many of our students from last year in positive ways. We hope you will consider helping our agency." The children in need of assistance are all local to Walker County. Searcy said her non-profit organization needs $600 ($150 per camper) to fill this need.
