Equip and Release: Beloved, we are in a time where the younger generation is hungry enough to be trained and released. It is time for them to stake out their regions and dig their wells of spiritual renewal and plant the seeds of the harvest. We cannot put old wine in new wineskins. However, we can impart wisdom, love and confidence to each one and become the parents of the new millennium church (2 Timothy 4 1-2). To everything there is a time and a season. Just as all of us blazed the trails of freedom in Christ, they too must take up their position to bring in the harvest. As we stand on the eternal promise of God’s provision, let us stand on the word of God that is eternal. If He calls you, He will equip you. In closing I have one more thing to offer, if He calls you later in your life….don’t panic. He just put you to work in order to equip. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 4:1-5 4 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine*. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5 But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. *Doctrine meaning the word of God Anne Cox
