Responsibiblities: - Bloomberg is seeking an experienced Research Analyst to join our proprietary global research product, Bloomberg Industries. This specific Research Analyst will be responsible for coverage of the Paper & Packaging sector and will construct and maintain research dashboards. - The Analyst is responsible for conceptualizing, constructing and maintaining Research Dashboards for Paper & Packaging companies. - Identifies relevant industry data needed to populate domestic & international Paper & Packaging dashboards. - Works with Fundamentals & Economic Statistics teams to determine scope, data capture process, & quality control of additional data to be added to Bloomberg, including information unique to Paper & Packaging companies. - Works closely with the research teams in Europe and Asia to identify macro themes and trends affecting the global Paper & Packaging sector. - Collaborate with other Bloomberg platforms including Bloomberg Government, BNA, and New Energy Finance to enhance the Paper & Packaging product offering and develop Paper & Packaging-centric products such as regulatory research. - Configures data to display on Research Dashboard. Conducts industry analyses on periodic & topical basis - Interacts with investors, industry contacts, investor relations personnel, & Senior Management of Paper & Packaging companies. Serves as Bloombergs liaison with major industry trade groups. - Prepares written reports, including Industry Primer and Themes & Issues reports. Develops & maintains relationships w/ internal departments & external market professionals. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field, & CFA candidacy or MBA degree. - Must have 3+ yrs progressively responsible experience as a Research Analyst, and prior experience with advanced concepts, practices, & procedures of finance & accounting; experience interpreting financial statements & performing quantitative financial analysis. - Requires working understanding of the Paper & Packaging sectors.
