Eric Bobo : This is from my fathers album entitled Feelin So Good. My father would always say that he wasnt really a singer but he liked to sing. I do know that not many known percussionists who would also sing lead on any of their songs but my father did a great job doing just that. Very recently, I got a chance to meet April Jimenez, who is the daughter of Nick Gimenez, that was one of the co-writers of this song, while I was in New York attending a seminar on Latin music hosted by Latin music historian Joe Conzo Sr. Its a great thing to be able to meet the siblings of artists and have something a bit in common with them through music. It was a great way to connect the dots so to speak. So I hope you all enjoy this ballad and I wish all of you a very happy & safe New Year!!!
