Eric Bobo: This song is from my fathers album Tomorrow Is Here on Blue Note Records. This was his only album on Blue Note and it was his first album after 5 year absence. This record for me was a mixture of sounds and a departure of the latin sound he was known for. I think that having that much time away from the studio, even though its familiar territory, it takes a minute to get back into that comfortable stride. This song was always one of my favorites and I remember being in my room and playing it over and over again. I was very proud of my dad on this album because I know that he worked hard on it. It was released in 1977. The cover and the concept of this album actually was from my brother Gill. The funny story about this cover is that my father was pretty nervous about getting on this rock because he didnt know how to swim and the timing of the picture had to be right to get the right effect as this was the time before photoshop. They were in a race to catch the sunset but after some heavy convincing, my dad got up there on that rock and they got the money shot!! I hope you all enjoy this song as its still one of my favorite songs that my father recorded.
