Eric J. Dedace Thanks for sharing Tourism Quezon! Ang bilis ng isang taon! I attended and participated in last years Kulturang Bayan Training Workshop from March 11 - 15, 2013 with our highly inspiring facilitators ... UP Prof.Tracey Santiago an the late erstwhile NCCA Commissioner Elmar B. Ingles held at the Queen Margarette Midtown Hotel in Lucena,and even served as a resource person for the best Tourism practices on its first day along with 3 Dtstrict Assemblyman John Paul Bunag, Mauban Municipal Tourism Officer Ms. Annie Calleja and the GSIS Museum Curator Mr.Ryan V. Palad, with the beautiful ancestral houses of Sariaya as my subject of concern. The second day was even marred by a fire at the nearby Chick Boy Restaurant so we had to transfer to the rooftop and hence to another venue at the same floor of the Hotel! Equally enjoyable, memorable and very educational was the two day training workshop of UP Prof. Tracey Santiago on Cultural Festival management and Cultural Tourism, and the Statement of Commitment that we made for ourselves as tourism workers/stake holders which we wrote on papers and posted on the board! Food tourism heritage aficionado Ms. Tina Decal of Kulinarya tagala fame was with me to represent Sariaya in that most challenging yet fulfilling eneavor. And the last day was devoted to tour guiding in and around the Quezon Provincial Capitol grounds. It was a tremendous success through the cooperation of the NCCA, the Quezon Provincial Tourism Office (QPTO), the Mauban Historico - Culture and the Arts Council and all the participating municipalities in Quezon province.
