Eric Riley Today at 7:55pm. Well....this evening, my 4th grader informed me that her teacher will be in contact with me, soon, in hopes of correcting my poor attitude towards Common Core math. Her teacher, through my daughter, has advised me to cease and desist in my criticisms--in the privacy of my own home, exercising my 1st Amendment right to free speech--of Common Core, specifically to stop referring to the convoluted math lessons as cr*p. (Im sorry, but when someone who had 3 semesters of calculus, and has to do math on the fly at work, cant help a 4th grader with multiplication, its cr*p!). Is this overreach by the school/teacher, or am I being overly sensitive in being outraged? Thanks.
