Eric and I had quite an exciting adventure trying to make it to our cruise this evening. Anyone that lives in Virginia knows that to get to Norfolk can be a frustrating experience. The Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel seems to be backed up with traffic every time I have ever gone through it. Well, today was no different. Our ship was to leave at 7:30, and we were rushing to make it. Eric dropped me off at 7:28, so he could park. I raced to the boat as the porters were pulling up the gangway. I gave them my best sad face and pleaded for mercy. Thankfully, they were very kind and let us board. Our Anniversary could have been ruined, but instead we had a delightful time! :)
