Erring traders penalized at Srinagar =>The market checking squad headed by Assistant Director, CA&PD conducted market checking at Baghi Mahtab, Natipora, Solina, Baghi Kanipora, Chanapora, Karan Nagar, Zaldagar, Fateh Kadal, Nowhatta, Khanyar&Rainawari of Srinagar city here today. During the market checking, 89 business establishments were inspected and an amount of Rs. 25,600/- recovered as fine from 35 erring shopkeepers for violation of Essential Commodities Act, 1955. Meanwhile According to Assistant Controller, Legal Metrology department, Budgam the market checking of Tehsil Budgam, Chadoora, Chrar-i-Sharief and Khag were conducted to curb black marketing, hoarding and profiteering in the district. During market checking 43 cases for violation of Weights and Measures Act were booked and revenue of Rs. 50,200/- was realized from the erring traders.
