Escape plan.. is more like the Retirement plan.. I mean i really have some mixed emotions about this movie right now.. With an unbelievebly cool plot on paper, two mammoth sized legends.. age wise too ;-) starring in it.. this movie could have gone places.. but between the placid screen play, complete lack of action scenes and choppy dialogues its difficult to choose one fatal flaw as there are so many.. i mean sly is smart but croaky mostly, arnies not himself, the plot is really good even though it borrows a few bits from lock up or even escape from alcatraz, the biggest built up of arnie vs sly starts off as if it should have been better and ends as if it should have never happened.. the movie is more cerebral but the action is just missing.. given the heros have a legacy to live up to.. the warden is a pain but gets a sadder end rather the epic warden in the chair end in lock up.. so overall for a die hard fan like me its just not at par with what these two can deliver alone.. i expected a clash of titans but got short changed wit the Escape Plan.. i hope sly does better next time around as he always does and i would like to see more of arnie as he just was not his true self.. btw the freeze frame when he picks up the 50 cal gun from the heli is a classic arnie moment and a highlight in the movies 2 hr run.. this shows that the mans still got it and he can amaze us in more solo flicks. so i just hope tht.. hell be back!!!!
