Escape the heat at one of several Maryland State Park popular swimming areas. From Rocky Gap and Cunningham Falls in Western Maryland, to Elk Neck and the Hammerman area of Gunpowder Falls in Central Maryland, state parks offer a great way to cool off during your quest adventures. Guarded swimming areas are also available at Sandy Point, Point Lookout, and Assateague State Parks. Dans Mountain and Pocomoke River offer cool pools.
