Essential Jesus Day 39 Luke 4:31-44 A couple of thoughts about todays passage: 1. As for Demons, they are not afraid to attack anywhere...even a place of worship (in the synagogue v.33)! But they are no match for the authority of Jesus!! 2. The Demons KNOW who Jesus is (v.41)...but yet they still do not BELIEVE in Him with a personal trust...they dont want to submit to His authority! Just to believe in Jesus or know who He is....is not enough! 3. As for Jesus, even though He continues to heal people late into the night (after a long day), He didnt, even though He could have, perform a group healing! Instead He paid individual attention to each one who came (laid hands on each one of them)! We serve a God who meets us one on one...who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psa. 147:3). If you come to Him, even right NOW, you will receive INDIVIDUAL attention for your need!
