Estimated 80 pound bat ray landed on 12 pound test That was a heck of a fight. It lasted a bit longer than an hour and a half and took me for at least a 1/2 mile ride. Thats why they call these things mud-marlin I guess. For me, it was a great way to start the day. This this really kicked my butt and was a lot of fun. I could not lift this creature off the beach it was so heavy. Who could imagine that one of the best fights of your life could take place on the beach.
