Eternal Father- Thank You for Your constant companionship. Thank You for never letting me down. You are my purpose and my light. While I was raking leaves this past weekend I got a nasty blister on my thumb. It just stopped oozing this morning. My neighbor didn’t get ab blister on his thumb because he was wearing gloves! He was also more productive because he had a leaf rake and all I had was a push broom! It is amazing how much more efficient we can be when we have the right tools. We don’t just get things done more efficiently, we get them done with less harm to ourselves! Prayer is the most powerful tool I have in my arsenal. Prayer makes me more efficient and keeps me from harm. It is always handy and it never wears out. Like many tools, occasionally it needs to be sharpened. So I need to make sure I am not just going through the motions. The greatest thing is that I can use prayer all day long. Thank God for the tools like prayer, introspection and sharing with another. Even though I am busy with the Christmas season I still have time to use my tools whenever possible. Remind me, Lord, that I am a project that may never be complete. Help me to see all of the benefits of constant prayer and meditation. I pray for those that scoff at prayer; that they may find themselves with no other option and see that He always hears. Amen.
