Eternal Life is a FREE Gift Dont be a victim of a the popular false salvation message, get the truth: Eternal life is a FREE gift. By grace (a free gift) are you saved through faith (trust and reliance on Jesus Christ); and that not of yourselves: it is a gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 The saving message of faith alone in Christ alone (with rock solid assurance of salvation), which is exactly what the Bible teaches, is under tremendous attack today in many ways and from countless sources. The Internet is overrun with websites teaching a false salvation message and the landscape is littered with many so-called Christian churches doing the same thing. Sadly, the result is many professing Christians are trusting in their good works and personal performance rather than in Jesus Christ, thinking that this somehow qualifies them to gain entrance into heaven. This is actually a grievous error, a major heresy and it exposes that their faith is not really in Christ at all, but rather in themselves. The free gift of salvation provided by Jesus Christ once gained by faith (meaning by trust and total reliance on Him for salvation) cannot be lost by any failure of the Christian who posses eternal life. The Bible makes it clear that... neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 Sadly today, heretical teachers and pastors control their congregations through heavy manipulation accomplished by the unbiblical practice of instilling fear regarding salvation. Church members are told that their sins and other personal failings are some kind of evidence or proof that they have lost their salvation or that they were never really saved to begin with. The eyes of those who believe this error are taken off the person and work of Christ and His death and resurrection. Congregations who sit under such heretical teachings are focused on their personal performance as being an alleged gauge or indicator of their merits in ultimately determining whether or not they are deserving of salvation. Of course none of us, not a single human being, has any merits whatsoever that are worthy of eternal life. In fact every one of us is a sinner and therefore a grievous transgressor in the eyes of an infinitely holy and perfect God. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 This means that none of us meet Gods stellar standards and for that reason we have no place in heaven in this fallen state, being guilty and already standing condemned. But thankfully, in Gods infinite love and mercy, He sent His only Son to pay our penalty for us. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 As you can see belief (specifically referring to faith in Christ, which means reliance and trust in Him) is the key to obtaining the eternal life that God has provided through Christ. There is no other way provided for mankind to be saved. This means that none of the figureheads or famous names of any other religions can save you. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12 Jesus said: I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but by me. John 14:6 The bottom line is if we believe, meaning that if we place our faith, our trust in (and reliance upon) Jesus Christ for salvation, in that we believe that He alone paid the full and final price for our salvation and thereby gained for us forgiveness of our sins, then eternal life in heaven is our assured hope. This is not an iffy hope, but rather a rock solid guarantee backed by Gods sure promise, regardless of any personal failures of ours in this life, past, present or future. Personal performance has nothing whatsoever to do with eternal life, but can have everything to do with any additional future rewards that we may gain through good works in this life. Heretical teachers and churches everywhere are mixing and muddying the Christian maturing process (commonly known as discipleship) with salvation as if these two things are one and the same, when in fact these are two separate and distinct issues. Salvation is gained through faith in Christ while growing in maturity from that point on is gained through studying the Bible and obedience to God, as well as good works. If you havent done so already, it is critical to your eternal future that you place your trust in the real Jesus of the Bible, the sinless Son of God who died on the cross for the sins of all mankind and rose from the dead conquering death forever. Rely on Him now and you will by no means be disappointed in that otherwise fearful day when all who have not believed in Christ are turned away. He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that does not believe the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him. John 3:36 heavensroad
