Ethiopia is among countries that have large number of Diaspora community when compared with other African Countries. The reason may be this and that but let us use this opportunity for good. The wise is the one who construct a building with the stone his enemy thrown and kill than doing the same thing back on him/her. No Ethiopian hates the country as a country in principle regardless of few differences with individuals and system changes. Systems will be changed whenever necessary and individuals will die or leave the post some days. But the country and its developments will remain as a historical mark of respect for the entire contributors. All Diaspora Ethiopian community members have same responsibility when it comes to matter of national interest, grand projects, and development. When the incumbent government is changed; it will leave all the roads constructed, electricity built, and other remarkable developments registered to the next government and the people. The only thing we have to fight and expose is corruption, misuse and abuse of power, poverty etc. We all are children of one mom. Mothers will well understand this. For her, no child is evil; she loves them equally regardless of his/her misbehavior. There may be misbehaved or behaving citizens. Whenever, they understand what they are doing is wrong and against the general public interest, mother welcomes and forgives. No Ethiopian is her enemy but may cooperate with evil and destructive idea and action. Some day they will regret and ask for pardon. As a citizen, even those who commit crime against his own country. Today he/she committing crime because he may not understand which way is the best to contribute for their country. Here is proposal. Let us forget our agenda, small agenda. Someone may hate Mr. Bekele or Abebe but if Bekele or Abebe is doing something good for his mother, let him/ her cooperate. He or she has no problem with his mother. It is not fair to worry about finance to work on grand projects such as Renaissance dam for a country that has millions of Diaspora throughout the world. Mr. prime ministers, Mr. President and ministers will be changed. But our country will remain our country. Please wake up Diaspora! Let as influence donors to donate, countries to give loans so that our country may move forward more and more. It is shameful to advocate stopping this and that from donating or saying and doing something good to our country. Let us contribute from $20 whatever we can by sharing one days or two days lunch. Let us influence our friends to contribute. While supporting development, struggle to abolish corruption, undemocratic acts, we can continue with our differences. Being different and having differences is very natural. The point is how we entertain such differences. Having differences does mean being an enemy for his/her own country. So it is shameful to cooperate with who has ambitious to destroy the country. Hello Diaspora!
