Euro 2016 - Scotland impress in narrow win over Georgia Euro 2016 Group D qualifier - Scotland 1 (Khubutia 28 og) Georgia 0.Scotland produced an impressive performance to record a merited 1-0 win over Group D rivals Georgia at Ibrox. Gordon Strachans side required an own goal prior to half-time by Akaki Khubutia to seal the three points, but should really have won by several goals such was the amount of chances and possession they enjoyed. Georgia offered little or nothing going forward yet were bouyed by remaining only one goal behind late in the game, and almost snatched an undeserved draw when the unmarked Irakli Dzaria drove the ball a few yards wide from inside the home area on 79 minutes. But the Scotland goalkeeper David Marshall did not have save to make during the match as Steven Naismith, Steven Fletcher, Scott Brown and Ikechi Anya all came close to easing the tension among the 35,000 fans by adding a second goal.
