European Christians have outgrown Christianity as church - TopicsExpress

European Christians have outgrown Christianity as church attendance in many countries has fallen below 10 percent or even 5%. They have rejected the Christ of Faith. Now they are interested in the Jesus of Fiction. They do not believe that Jesus is the Only-begotten Son of God, that he saved humanity from eternal sin. This has led to the decline in the priestly vocation. The average age of Catholic priest in the world is more than 55, and increasing. Arthur J Pais asserts: In an ironical reversal of roles, priests from India are going out to the West, not so much to spread the faith as priests from the West journeyed to the East to do, but to keep the Churchs institutions going. Obviously, Christianity in the West is in a steep decline. That is why they are striving hard to find a new home in the East.
