The 1,584 Israeli participants in the current €50 billion Framework Programme, are in line to receive €634 million. This important funding is now at tremendous risk. New rules were announced recently that restrict any EU funding to institutions outside the pre-1967 boundaries.The new rules primarily impact Ariel University, which only recently became Israel’s eighth university, in late 2012. Ariel University cannot apply for funding and cannot collaborate with projects run by its peers....
