Benzema is one of the best strikers in the world and would be a huge coup if a deal can be done. Possible suitors: Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United Likely cost: £50m Chances of a move: 0/5 - - - MARCO REUS (BORUSSIA DORTMUND) Marco Reus is one of the Bundesligas best players Dortmund’s domestic nightmare means the anticipated departure of Reus could be moved forward from the summer and Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are all likely to be in the hunt along with the Premier League’s biggest teams. Reus is a rare talent, arguably the most in-demand player in Europe and has a reported release clause of only €25m, making him a huge potential bargain for the lucky club which signs him. Persistent injury problems are likely to be overlooked in favour of his exceptional technique and devastating impact. Possible suitors: Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City Likely cost: £19.5m Chances of a move: 4/5 - - - STEPHAN EL SHAARAWY (AC MILAN) AC Milans Stephan El Shaarawy reacts after missing a goal opportunity against Inter Milan The 22-year-old is very talented but reports suggest AC Milan could be willing to let him go for £11.5m to fund a squad-rebuilding process. He scored twice in a mid-season friendly against Real Madrid earlier this week to display his ability and says he wants to remain at San Siro. But Serie A is not the powerhouse it once was. Swansea are likely to be highly resistant to any sale but money talks, even if a new contract signed in November removed a £19m release clause in his contract. Possible suitors: Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham Likely cost: £25m Chances of a move: 4/5 - - - KEVIN STROOTMAN (ROMA) Sassuolos Simone Missiroli (L) and AS Romas Kevin Strootman fight for the ball According to some reports, a deal to reunite the Dutchman with Louis van Gaal is already close to being completed, and a move to Old Trafford seems certain at some point. Van Gaal shaped his Netherlands midfield around Strootman before injury prevented him from going to the World Cup and is keen to do the same at Old Trafford. Late interest from Real Madrid has been reported but Strootman could be the commanding midfield presence United have needed for years. A failed move to Tottenham prompted a petulant response on Twitter in the summer but he has performed diligently for Ronald Koeman. Will a move to North London prove too tempting this winter though? Much of the Reds’ hopes rest on the return of the forever-injured Daniel Sturridge, but a move for the 23-year-old might help ease the burden on the striker. Shaqiri has struggled for game time ever since his switch to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and needs to move now or risk stagnating beyond repair. Possible suitors: Juventus, Liverpool Likely cost: £15m Chances of a move: 4/5 --- ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE (LYON) Alexandre Lacazette (Lyon) Any Arsenal or Liverpool fans getting excited over this one? Well, we probably suggest you quell your optimism. Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas’ latest musings suggest that he’s not for sale, or at least he’s desperate to extract every penny from the deal. “We will ensure that there are no departures [in January],” Aulas told OL TV. “I am sure it will be the case.” Possible suitors: Arsenal, Liverpool Likely cost: £15m Chances of a move: 1/5 --- MATS HUMMELS (BORUSSIA DORTMUND) Simply put: Hummels is too talented to remain with a team struggling at the foot of the Bundesliga. Arsenal or Manchester United would obviously welcome his towering presence in defence, with a host of reports linking him with a switch away from Germany. Still, this one looks unlikely in January, but expect interest to be revived in the summer – particularly if Dortmund don’t arrest their slump – and a move should follow. The defender has featured in all but one of West Ham’s Premier League encounters, becoming a key figure as the Hammers have unexpectedly climbed into the Champions League equation. But would he really want to abandon ship mid-season – particularly with the Gunners in a topsy-turvy state? West Ham might force his hand, however, given his contract expires in the summer. Possible suitors: Arsenal Likely cost: £6m Chances of a move: 2/5 --- SAIDO BERAHINO (WEST BROM) Saido Berahino, left (Reuters) Cast your minds back to October when the young striker was the talk of the league after firing seven goals in his opening nine Premier League games. Berahino even had the cheek to proclaim that he might have to leave West Brom to fulfil his lofty ambitions. But since he uttered those words, the 21-year-old has struggled and found playing time harder to come by. Tottenham have been touted as potential suitors, but there is no longer urgency at White Hart Lane to sign a forward given the sensational form of Harry Kane. Liverpool, too, are close to welcoming back Sturridge. Sorry, Saido. Youre probably staying put (for now...) Possible suitors: Liverpool, Tottenham Likely cost: £20m Chances of a move: 2/5 --- MEMPHIS DEPAY (PSV EINDHOVEN) Memphis Depay (Reuters) PSV looked to have secured Depay for the foreseeable future after tying him down to a new contract after his impressive World Cup exploits. Not so, if you believe the latest reports. A switch to Manchester United has been mooted, while PSG have emerged as another possible destination. Depay has been pivotal as PSV opened up a four-point gap at the top of the Eredvisie – firing double figures already – but would probably fit into Laurent Blanc’s plans more than Louis van Gaals. Possible suitors: Manchester United, PSG Likely cost: £30m Chances of a move: 1/5 --- EZEQUIEL LAVEZZI (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN) “Sometimes I think of dropping everything, its a thought that flashes in my mind even today, and not just in the past.” The words of Ezequiel Lavezzi… It’s fair to say he’s disillusioned with life at PSG – especially given he’s decided to sack off training on more than one occasion recently. That should spark interest in January, with a host of clubs linked with a move for the Argentinean, but can anyone afford to take a gamble on the volatile forward?
