Eva Sola records her music with a 60s rockband, an acoustic folk - TopicsExpress

Eva Sola records her music with a 60s rockband, an acoustic folk ensemble or with her English friend Jon and his collection of ancient instruments. She plays the guitar or the bass and sings along, but she is also planning on building a harp and mastering the singing saw. In her songs she writes about annoying flies who are sent to the devil (she actually sings about the devil quite often), about mermaids who keep a collection of ripped out hearts at home, about clearing the spiders’ bad reputation or simply about love (of course the more interesting type of star crossed love). Sometimes people have to give their lives in her songs, but she herself would never commit a real murder. Eva Sola brings PJ Harvey or Kate Bush to her listeners minds, which she both considers compliments. Maybe she should move to England. She lives in Bonn, Germany, instead and enjoys to leave the place once in a while. Eva Sola has played with different musicians over the years, mostly as a bass player and backing singer (more than 250 concerts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Holland, Norway and England), and will continue this practice. But she writes a lot of songs and enjoys telling stories too much to always just shut up in the second row. In 2013 she released her first two cds („Dedications“ and „The Garden Tapes“) and drops by the studio from time to time so the next record can follow soon.
