Eva Zelig Ive continued to raise funds for An Unknown Country -- my documentary about the Jews of Ecuador. Now, a generous offer of a matching grant has come my way. A gentleman who was born in Ecuador, where his parents sought refuge, has offered a $2,000 matching grant. Hes making this offer in the spirit of Hanukkah. The deadline is December 15. If the goal is met by that date, the donor will kick in an additional $500. If it is not met, he will match whatever will have been donated by that date. Many friends of this project have been most generous, but I cannot ignore this kind offer. So, if anyone might wish to donate, here is info on how to make tax-deductible donations: DONATING BY CREDIT CARD: Click or copy this link: nywift.org/article.aspx?ID=3591 This will lead you to the film projects page on the website of New York Women in Film & Television.
