Evacuation Warning: Lodge Complex Fire evening update; no reported change in size since this morning as it is still reported as 5,400 acres and 30 percent contained. The fire was more active today, with torching noticed in several areas. Evacuation warnings were issued for residences near Camp Seabow, Bowman Ranch Road, Peterson and Grubb Creek and in the areas around - Big Bend - Grizzly Creek - Cedar Flat - Hermitage - Cummings / Little Red Mountain - Little Dann Creek - Dann Valley - Tan Oak Park Warnings are issued to advise that there is a potential threat to life and property and for those in the area to be prepared to leave. Three firefighter injuries have been reported, no word on how serious. 1,889 fire personnel assigned. Significant air action today after the fire jumped the Eel River yesterday in two new locations yesterday. There will likely be extensive back burning to reinforce lines to keep the fire within containment lines. Unfortunately expected hot temperatures and the potential for windy conditions can make the fires become extremely active. We hope the injured firefighters have minor injuries and make a full recovery.
