As he encourages us to always keep in mind where our strength comes from, to overcome anger, resist greed, turn away from that which is evil and turn to that which is good. Most in today’s world cannot say that, as they languish in addictions and find themselves powerless against sin. Here our Brother prays for believers to experience God’s Power through the works of our Lord Jesus Christ. As the eyes of the world are fixed upon all this world has to offer Paul prays that our eyes are on the heavenlies and what that world has to offer. May we rejoice this season in the fact that Jesus Was Born to Die so That We May experience this Power. To always remember that every one of us could have been as the wicked sons of Eli in 1st Samuel 2:12 that did not “know” God. The bible says that they had a head knowledge of God but did not know him, “Intimately” this is what Christ did for us by God’s Mercy upon us…………He allowed us to intimately know Him and His Son by the POWER of God the Holy Spirit…Amen and Amen May Jeremiah 9:23 & 24 be our testimony Thus says the LORD: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the LORD.” (Jeremiah 9:23-24 ESV)
