Eve stayed put all day. :) I was worried Id have to put bricks on her or something. ;) She had a great day of new sights, roosters sidling up to her doing the big boy dance and trying to steal her food, and of course, that damn cat. Mao is besotted with her. Shes realised Eve doesnt want to be friends, so shes taken to rubbing herself all over any little bit of stray wool she finds. Apparently this is almost as good as rubbing on the actual sheep. Moving Eve into her overnight position this evening was a little more exciting than Id like. She thought the short time I had her hindquarters off the bedding would be a great opportunity to get up onto her front feet. She didnt quite make it, but for a brief moment I thought *I* might be the new walker. I dont want to say it because I might be jumping the gun, but I really think shes going to actually walk again. She might always need her mobility aid for her hind legs, but I think her front legs will be alright. The will she has to get up is incredible. If want alone could do it shed be out with the lambs right now. The pressure sore is beginning to dry out a little, and she seems to be up on her knees a fair bit to minimise the pressure which is awesome for everything but her knees. Sores there are far more manageable though, so if thats what she needs to do to help her other wound then thats okay. The bad wound on her leg looks great today, dry and with a good healthy scab. Its going to take time and Im worried being so sedentary will lead to thick scarring that might inhibit her movement, but the wound itself is progressing well. Ill try to take a photo tomorrow so you can see how far these wounds have come. Im still messing about with her new bed trying to get it right, adding foam here and there and figuring out ways to prop her up where she needs it, and shes not helping at all because shes constantly pushing things out of the way while shifting her weight and stretching, but Ill have it right soon. 4 days to go before her wheels arrive. I wish I could tell her. Shes going to love it! After she realises its not going to attack her anyway. :) Thank you to everyone who has donated toward the walker, I appreciate all your help more than I can express. xx
