Evelyn Bailey Brown Evelyn Bailey Brown, 65, of Grenada, passed away Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at University Medical Center in Jackson. She was born in Alexandria, Va., on March 10, 1948, to Edmond Rance Bailey and Evelyn Lucille Harrell Bailey. She had a background in marketing and real estate and was an artist for more than 20 years, owning Evelyn Brown Design. Visitation is Monday, Aug. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Garner Harper Funeral Home in Grenada, and also from 1 to 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church on Tuesday, Aug. 6, prior to the funeral service at 2 p.m. The Rev. Tom Potter will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens. Survivors include her mother, Lucille H. Bailey, of Vardaman; a son, Cole Brown (Tammy) of Grenada; a daughter, Molly Brown (Dan) of Grenada; a brother, Eddie Bailey, of Vardaman; and a sister, Rita Green (David) of Vardaman. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Caden Brown, Blake Brown, Bronson Brown, Chase Brown and Gabriel Brown, all of Grenada. She was preceded in death by her father, Edmond Bailey. A memorial fund for donations has been set up by the family at Renasant Bank, PO Box 190, Grenada, MS 38902. Garner Harper Funeral Home is in charge.
