Even Iblees used to praise Allaah. He worshipped Allaah more than some of us could ever do. But do you know what was wrong with his worship? It wasnt sincere. He worshipped Allaah, so Allaah would reward him. So he could get a status. So he could be well known. Allaah knew his intentions as Allaah knows all. Allaah wanted to see how far Iblees could go with his worship to gain a status. So Allaah created Adam. And then, Iblees showed, how great he considers himself that he refused to prostrate to Adam. What happened? Allaah banished him. From the highest of Jannahs, he had fallen to the lowest pits of Jahannam! Only because his worship and prayer wasnt sincere! - When worshipping Allaah, do it out of sincerity. Out of humbleness. Not to gain a status. Hide your good deeds as how you would hide your sins. Allaah knows what is within our hearts. And we will be questioned on the Day of Qiyamah whether our worship was sincere or not. May Allaah help us remain humble and sincere
