Even from a secular perspective, capital punishment is undoubtedly - TopicsExpress

Even from a secular perspective, capital punishment is undoubtedly flawed. Its inhumane; there are still botched executions; you cannot be 100% sure of ones guilty verdict [even the reliability eyewitness testimony is questioned]; humans are incredibly flawed; there are various factors that can influence whether one receives the death penalty [such as socio-economic status, gender, race, jurisdiction, the race of the victim, etc.]. Its quite unreal how the death penalty is still implemented. With so many uncertainties and the overall fallibility of our injustice system, why is capital punishment still used today? This is also nonsensical. I dont even have to bring in its incompatibility with Christianity. Capital punishment is horrendously flawed from a secular perspective too.
