Even if a plastic cup or container is marked “BPA-free,” it could still be harmful. Some children’s sippy cups marked “BPA-free” have a number of hormone-altering effects due to chemicals in the plastic. These chemicals are not only limited to sippy cups. Best: Avoid plastics altogether—use glass, pure silicon or uncoated stainless steel products only to ensure that you are not ingesting any unwanted—and potentially deadly chemicals.
