Even if there is a power resembling our definition of God, I am not sure It ( He/She) would much care how the rules governing our social habits, known collectively as morality,in Cambodia should differ from those in Tanganika or Ecuador. But I still believe that the energy that permeates this universe deserves as much to be understood as to be worshiped and loved. As as a little creature with a tiny heart that considers even a mountain on our small planet as awesome, I am always overwhelmed by thoughts of infinite layers upon layers of skies beyond skies and worlds upon worlds beyond worlds which cosmos keeps revealing to us - the greater our power of understanding, the more incomprehensible the panorama. . I am quite happy to give this awesome incomprehensibility of universe a name like God - or Beauty, or Truth , or Love or whatever. Its important to have an experience of the stunning infiniteness of reality before us, and be nearly submerged with overwhelming humility before life or Cosmos - so large that it is a miracle that we are not overwhelmed to death by a mere thought of its sheer range, size or magnitude.( These are limited parameters for something unlimited.) I am reminded of Carl Sagan, the poet- stro-physicist: For small creatures such as we, the vastness (of Cosmos) is made bearable only through love. Sagan did not believe in a God, but do you think that the language of a prophet like Guru Nanak would be any different from this. Or Guru Gobind Singhs: Jin prem kyo Tin hi prabh paayo acquires an altogether new meaning after this.. Or Jesus God is Love. or Krishan or Mohammad - or anyone for that matter. Cosmos is God is Love ......
