Even most media outlets tell us different, in our opinion, that the root cause for port delays are not chassis problems. Not even the union do-by-the-book strategy! The problem is the foreign companies who set the tone and tend to offer low quality services in the cheapest way possible. Chassis companies are owned by foreigners (DCLI by Maersk for example). The parent companies of terminals are the same. On the other hand, every place where an owner is domestic, the system works. Just take a look - BNSF, Matson, Alaska Marine Lines...
