Even so it is that Christ, having been offered to take upon Himself and bear as a burden the sins of many ONCE AND ONCE FOR ALL, will appear a second time, NOT TO CARRY ANY BURDEN OF SIN NOR TO DEAL WITH SIN, BUT TO BRING TO FULL SALVATION those who are [eagerly, constantly, and patiently] waiting for and expecting Him. (Hebrews 9:28 AMP) Daryl - according to this verse in Hebrews, Jesus appearing this next time will have nothing to do with sin or judgement. It appears to say His SOLE PURPOSE in appearing again is to bring those who trust in Him to the FULLNESS OF THEIR SALVATION (not just a new spirit..but also our new bodies)! In my understanding this would be the resurrection of the righteous dead and those still living whose faith is in Christ (when He returns) to be changed from mortality to immortality in an instant and for us to then follow Him into the heavenly realms and be with Him until things wrap up down here on earth.
