Then the Lord will scatter you among the nations , from one side to another land . There you will worship other gods , gods of wood and stone , which you and your ancestors never knew . 65 . In the midst of those nations you will find no rest, not even a place of rest for the soles of the feet . There the Lord will give them desperate heart , eyes weary of waiting , and anxious soul . 66 . You will live in constant uncertainty , filled with terror, day and night , with no security in life. 67 . In the morning say, " I wish it were evening! " And at night : " Oh , I wish it were morning! " Because of the terror they fill your heart and what your eyes see . 68 . The Lord will send them back to Egypt , or ships, or the way that I told them I could never go. There you will be offered for sale as male and female slaves , but no one will buy them . Meaning: Lord God .
