Even though I am just now leaving school, I had the most incredible day. I asked my 7/8 Chorus if anyone wanted to stay after today to help me peruse the choral library and pilot some new tunes. I was shocked at the number of kids who showed up on a Friday. Granted, I bought them pizza, but I was speechless nonetheless. These kids, I tell you what. I love them as if they were my own. Theres also no late bus on Fridays, so it makes it harder for kids to stay after, but they made it work. AND they picked some awesome stuff! This years winter concert program will be almost entirely chosen by them. Parents, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for doing all that you do. I couldnt be more blessed to have this group of kids. And to be a combine chorus this year blows my mind. Waitll you hear them in three months!!! Im biased, but I think they are something pretty special. Enjoy your weekend, I know I will. :)
