Even though Veterans Day is past it is not too late to say a word of profound appreciation to Viet Nam vets. You did what your country called upon you to do in one of the most difficult moments in modern history. When you returned to the U.S. some of you were spit upon, cursed and even had feces thrown at you by anti-war protestors. These sick and depraved individuals never protested later on when thousands of Vietnamese were risking their lives in rickety boats in the South China Sea to escape communist tyranny. These hypocrites remain silent through all the atrocities perpetrated by marxist thugs. But you Viet Nam vets can hold your heads high because you risked life and limb to give the Vietnamese a chance at freedom. Fifty seven thousand of your comrades gave their lives. I wish you could have stood beside me when a veteran missionary with extensive knowledge of Viet Nam told me how you bought valuable time for the Christians in Viet Nam to prepare to live under persecution. History will vindicate you. May the God of all grace bless you today. In Jesus Name.
