Even though in my current situation I am slightly benefiting from this program, we are all soon going to pay the price. I am in the program through Blue Cross Blue Shield of SC and it has done little more than pay for my medications, which are more than the cost of my monthly premium, but I have no real access to doctors. I have a hospital 2 blocks from me and my entire neighborhood is surrounded by medical facilities, but they want me to go to Columbia or Charleston for care. It is govt insanity. I have managed to find a few doctors in Charlotte that take it, but then they arent sure. And who ever hear of an all or nothing policy. All the years I had insurance I might have to pay a higher co-pay for going out of network, but with this crap I have now I could not keep my doctor nor choose my doctor. I really pray that most of you can stay on your employer coverage, which is not an evil step child of BCBSofSC. I really thought BCBS was a good company, but since my group is considered the evil step child I will never recommend BCBS to anyone, and I will go further than that, but I will keep what I am going to do to myself until I perpetrate my inappropriateness.
