Even though we have been publishing books, I have some thing to share with my friends and to bring the discussion between those who are interested on the issues. Yes we are Writing...and we do not have a problem to write what ever it is... However, still we do have many problems which gonna be a potential problem in the future also. Since we are swimming in the ocean of writers,no force can stop us from writing... yes we can write, for whom? No matter, how it will reach to our people? Obviously we have lack of potential to deliver the books to the readers rather than making books in any form. However I have a dream, when the rising sun of afaan Oromoo never set for the Oromo writers and artists, in the near future and to our developing language. It is not only my personal problem, but as one of an afaan Oromo (the 3rd spoken language in Africa) writer, we all writers share the same pain together. We dont have a good system which can facilitate and distribute the published books to the readers. But why? And when it will be realized? who is going to take this responsibility? Why we couldnt over come this problem? What are the basic hinders no to do this? Human or material resources? How many of us may think about our artists, writers and generally about our arts, literature? Why our business individuals wouldnt pay attention on this field? Is that not business? Did they confirmed that the Oromo do not read their afaan Oromo books? So why? Is that the fear of TPLF securities ? As Afaan Oromo is one of a young language to be written, still it couldnt enjoy the right to be written and to be read. It couldnt easily reach to its reader. This all shows that how much our language is still under strict repression and the control of the TPLF. Every single word we write in afaan Oromo has been interpreted narrowly and politicized by the Ethiopian successive dictator regimes . We, as an Oromo, still do not have freedom to write what the people want to know. we dont have single news paper in that empire. Who can understand and could imagine in the 21st century,if you tell him?her as our 40 millions nation do not have this rights, rights of press, the right to write...freedom of expression... By other way,TPLF IS telling us, as we are enjoying the rights of democracy What the evil joke they comic on us? what are the features of democracy? what is democracy,if you couldnt practice your innate rights that should be respected and preserved? It is not some thing superficial that I am talking about, but seriously we as Oromo societies, we ,our selves are still sleeping and waiting the others to come and solve our problems rather we are not struggling to overcome this all deeply rooted problems. When we gonna realize the truth and the facts that we are in the series shackled chains ? MAN BORN FREE YET WE FIND HIM EVERY WHERE IN THE CHAINS Jan J. Rousseau As to me, it is up to us either writing without full filling all the necessaries for writers....unless we do not have guarantee weather we are still being the nation with out written documents as our forefathers. The very interesting thing is the Qubee generations write and taking all risks and being exposed to death. If we really certainly be concerned , we have to make forum and discuss how it should be solved and bring the life to our literature and arts, Unless preferring to keep all in the dark and letting them in the jail and to death with all needed of that the lefts values and rich art, customs, traditions, legends, cultures, our beautiful systems, and the wealthy language we owned, due to our disorganize culture, and absence of common interest to develop our language, many things shouldnt be recorded and by these all lacks,we couldnt transfer our arts, literature, films, theater, and other values to next generations When we write, not only the writers, but the books also forced to be kept in the jail otherwise, they burnt it out the books. why? the answer is simple and clear,it is only the groundless hatred to ward Oromo peoples and Oromo language,it the phobia of our developing language...That is all their reasons. We never stop writing what ever it seems and what ever it is , I decided to write what i think and I should put it on the paper,...May be one day it will benefit the next generation ! saa abbaan gaafa cabse, ormi ija jaamsa mammaaksa Oromooti.
