Even to your old age, I am He & even to gray hairs Ill carry you! I have made & I will bear; even I will carry & I will deliver you. (Isa 46:4) I heard about an elderly man who was suffering from the 1st stages of dementia. He lamented the fact that he often forgot about God. A good friend responded, Dont worry Hell never forget you. Growing old is perhaps the hardest task we have to face in this life. As the saying goes, Getting old aint for sissies. Mainly, growing old is about losses. We lose our strength, our looks, our job. We may lose our health, our spouse, our independence & perhaps the greatest loss of all, our sense of dignity & self-worth. But there is one thing that you & I will never lose - the love of God. Even to your old age, I am He. Those who are planted in the Lords house shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age. (vs. 13-14) WHAT WE CANNOT LOSE!!!
