Even with all the distance between us through the years since I joined the Navy, the connection is still there. I can still come to your house and sit down with you, have a cup of coffee and and a conversation. It always takes me back to where my life began....when it was just me and you. I am certainly my fathers son, there is no doubt. But its my mothers heart that is beating in my chest. So on your birthday Momma, I want to tell you how proud of you I am and how much I love you. I am so very thankful for my life and all the sacrifices you made for us. I still feel your prayers around me...
