Even with the best kids in the world, an ex-wife who was and is a good friend more than not, and the great family and friends (new and old) that fill my life, NO ONE in the last 14 years has been more devoted to me than my dear sweet STRUDEL!! Today I had to make the decision to end her suffering, simultaneously rending my heart in 2. I have greatly underestimated the grief and pain this day would bring!! The loneliness upon walking into the apartment knowing she will never greet me again is almost unbearable. I miss you Strudel more than words can say. You are loved.
