Evenin. Happy Weekend Eve! Hope your Friday has been satisfying. Started my morning off with a walk. Even though it was a bit foggy, it still felt good to be out. Then, half way thru it, the sun came out..hazy sunshine...for about 45 minutes. It was exhilarating. Fortunately I am not one who suffers from Seasonal Affective Disorder, but I definitely get a lift from the rays. We are supposed to see it some over the weekend..I am looking forward to that. We got spoiled with all the sun in September. Cloudy, sprinkle days make good days for baking. This afternoon I baked a double crust deep dish apple pie...12 cups of apples...and chocolate chip cookies. I should have set the pie on a cookie sheet in the oven...major bubble over. Lots of smoke as that burned off during the cookie bake and it ruined the first batch. Husband remarked as he came home...smells like carmalized sugar in here....yep. For a while it smelled heavenly. Ah well...window open in kitchen..down draft exhaust fan going...it is starting to become tolerable. Guess I will have some scraping to do in my oven in the morning. Wishing you a fine Friday nite.
