Evening All, here is an example of why it is so important to edit your images before displaying them. The first image is a RAW image SOOC (turned into a jpeg for the sake of this) without any image editing. The lighting on the day was flat and grey, you can see the image is also flat, lacks contrast, has bright highlights on the pelicans and generally lacks any kind of dynamism. The second image has been edited. Contrast was increased, the highlights were softened, some warmth added, the horizon was straightened and I cropped a little. I also played with a little vibrance and selective colour. The result is fairly subtle, but worth it I feel.
