A new fuel fire in Unit 4 could possibly pour out a steady stream of deadly radioactive poisons for centuries. We need the best scientific and engineering minds and schools to focus their attention on averting a catastrophe. They must remove that spent fuel quickly and safely. The clock is ticking. We need to call our representatives (seriously, people do it) and demand that they get their act together, get the government running and turn their attention to something far larger than winning the next election and political pissing contests.
