Evening Piha! As requested from the Piha Surf Club Bar and Kitchen Our chef Fiona has over 20 years of experience in the kitchen whipping up meals for the likes of The Queen, U2 and The Rolling Stones and now for you lucky buggers! Fiona describes her style of cooking as wholesome fresh and affordable food. Everything is made in house from scratch (she is currently pickling the beetroot relish as I type) Here is a teaser of some of the items on this seasons menu... - Tostada - Crispy tostada topped with beans, grilled cheese, lettuce, sour cream, shredded chicken & salsa. $10 - Picking platter - Assorted pickles, cheese, cured meats, crusty bread, olives, pate & house made terrine. $24 - Mussels - One dozen green-lipped mussels steamed in a chili coconut broth, served with garlic & herb bread. $15 -Vege Burger - Pumpkin and spinach patty, beetroot relish, lettuce and tomato chili sauce on wholegrain bun served with kumara shavings. $14 - Tortilla salad bowl - Salad greens, Mexican rice, black beans, grated cheese, fresh salsa and sour cream served in a crispy baked tortilla shell. $15 - Caramelised banana split - Topped with coconut crumble and caramel sauce. $9 - Little nipper meals all $9!
